What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

The Incredible Power of Meditation

Today we welcomed Vanessa Guild to the show. She spoke at length about the incredible power of meditation, something that guides her and uplift her, and helped her to overcome an abusive incestuous past.

Her meditation studies began over 12 years ago under Dr. Benjamin Wren, a Jesuit Priest and Zen Master, author of "Zen Among the Magnolias." Hurricane Katrina took Vanessa's city, home and all personal belongings. For two weeks she had no knowledge of her father, mother or friends. Vanessa knew "breathing" and "calming the mind" techniques, but Hurricane Katrina forced her to "live" them ... at an entirely different level, while finding her loved ones and then having to rebuild her entire life. She was trained extensively by international speaker / award winning author Azim Khamisa in his forgiveness and meditation workshops. Vanessa co-facilitated programs in Australia and the USA with Khamisa. Vanessa can precisely explain how to meditate and calm the mind. She also shares authentically with us about her upbringing and how meditation can assist with healing from pain and dealing with present life challenges.
