What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

Freedom for All Guest: Mithaq Kazimi

Today we welcomed to the show Mithaq Kazimi, who had much to say in depth about the ideals of freedom. Originally from Afghanistan, Mithaq is a Creative Director, Media Producer and a Film Festival Director who focuses on community-building stories and initiatives in his films, photography and other multimedia creations. Whether producing his own work or distributing the work of others, Kazimi's career highlights include a number of socially-relevant projects that uplift and empower both the maker and the viewer. In this show, we'll learn about two of his initiatives, the "Dawn Breakers International Film Festival," which he co-founded in 2007 to showcase positive films from some 50 countries - and "Humans of San Diego," a photo-blog which he recently started to capture the spirit of San Diego with beautiful photos and inspiring stories.
