Today we welcomed Jim's pal Greg Hernandez to the show. It was a blast rekindling past memories of college journalism as well as having Greg speak of vital matters close to him, gay rights.
Greg is editor-in-chief of Greg In Hollywood (greginhollywood.com), Los Angeles correspondent for Gay Star News (gaystarnews.com) and president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Gay & Lesbian Journalist's Association. Greg In Hollywood is an LGBT-themed entertainment and pop culture site that currently has approximately 300,000 unique visitors per month and in 2012, earned Greg one of Power Up Films' Amazing Men in Showbiz Awards. A professional journalist since 1987, Greg was a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter and entertainment industry reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News. In 2006, Greg launched Out in Hollywood, an LGBT-themed entertainment blog that was among the first of its kind for any major daily newspaper in the US.
We talked with Greg today about who he has interviewed while he was naked, his favorite stories working with Jim on the college newspaper, and also the important topic of equal rights / freedom for all despite your sexual orientation.
