Originally from Woodstock, NY, Hope learned piano and guitar as a child and started writing songs at 13. After high school she came to LA with $40 in her pocket. Playing to passersby at LA Venice Beach boardwalk, her popularity grew, leading to a self-titled Debut CD, which includes a duet with Jason Mraz.
