What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is coming up ... a chance to honor the fathers of our world.
For this week's "Freedom For All" radio show, we welcomed back author Dominick Domasky whose has recently published a book "Go Ask Your Dad," which fits in perfectly with the Father's Day theme. The engaging book features 22 dads from across the globe, the men who have faced everything from changing diapers to incarceration, the men who have encountered everything from tragedy to triumph. We will also be joined by three of the other authors from the book: Brian P. Swift, a quadriplegic who has overcome health adversity to find his success; Anthony Fludd Sr. who runs Dads Cry Too; and Jeff Jackson, a businessman turned actor. Each of these three men has a story that will inspire and uplift.

Freedom of the Mind and Heart

What an enriching conversation we had with Clifford Edwards today.
Cliff is author of the powerful new book, The Forgiveness Handbook – A Simple Guide to Freedom of the Mind and Heart.  He is a professional coach, consultant, trainer and mentor, influential in the realms of coaching and personal development for over fifteen years.
Cliff was diagnosed with a stage 4, non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2011. As a result, he recognized the need for true forgiveness of self and others as a means for emotionally detoxifying and de-stressing to aid his healing process. Combining the benefits of forgiveness with clinical trial chemotherapy and additional complementary treatment, resulted in the happy outcome of “complete remission” in 2014!
Due to that experience, Cliff now focuses on teaching and promoting forgiveness and emotional education.  With confidence, deep insight and a lighthearted approach, he guides others to change their thinking and easily let go of the resentments, anger, regret, shame and judgments of the past. The result is greatly reduced stress, a more peaceful mind and greater clarity, freedom and success in the present and future.

On the Campaign Trail

Today field reporter and Freedom For All radio co-host James Anthony Ellis reported in from the campaign trail, reporting in directly from the Donald J. Trump rally at the San Diego Convention Center, where there are lines being drawn on "free speech zones" for Trump supporters and demonstrators. A circus down there, with rumors of outspoken demonstrations turning ugly. Co-host Jennifer Ellis was back at station headquarters asking the questions of James, who recently attended the May 21 Bernie Sanders "A Future to Believe In" rally (of which he was a member of the press) and a May 25 Hillary Clinton fundraiser in Atherton, California (where he attended as a guest). Tune into this one of kind episode of Freedom For All Radio ... on the campaign trail: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/freedomforall/2016/05/27/on-the-campaign-trail

Helping Teens and Young Adults

Today was a replay of our May 22, 2015 show with Laura G. Wright. Laura is a mentor and coach who supports young adults to become the architects of their lives. According to her bio, she wants to live in a world where looking at cute pictures of animals counts as exercise, Coldplay frequently shows up at her house to hang out and put on concerts in her living room, and complete strangers smile and wave at each other for no reason.
With over fifteen years of experience working with teenagers, she has developed a coaching and mentoring program for high school students, and has written workshops for parents of teenagers to guide them in making wise investments in their children’s future. She has also been featured as a guest on the Hunterdon Chamber Radio show Living Consciously, where she has shared her expertise in working with young adults. She has received the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award, and in 2011 was nominated for Teacher of the Year.
You can find her hanging out with her phenomenal husband, unabashedly digging through celebrity gossip online, and taking a bajillion photos of every single adorable thing her cats do. Discover her mission to help teens and young adults at her website: www.buildingthebridge.us

Boys to Men Mentoring Network

We talked with Joe Sigurdson today! Joe is the co-founder of the "Boys to Men Mentoring Network" a nonprofit organization supporting boys who are challenged in today's society. With 33 centers across the globe, the vision of Boys to Men is "to create communities of men who teach, support, mentor and encourage boys to become compassionate and accountable men." Joe was a teenage father. He and Nancy, his wife of 39 years, have two children and seven grandchildren. An active member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 27 years of sobriety, he has been active in the Mankind Project doing interpersonal work for the past 21 years. His experiences in both these programs have given him insight to what he believes is lacking in our society, especially teenage boys. He has worked with thousands of men and boys around the world. He knows that inside every boy is a desire to be a good man. Boys to Men has developed its approach in helping boys become better men by listening, accepting and admiring them for who they are. These principles are the result of Joe’s path through life and recovery.
