What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

What Your Body Needs

When Dr. Gregory H. Tefft’s publicist contacted me I was all over this. Divine timing. The publicity materials say, “Your hair is the key to your health puzzle, finding exactly what nutrients will restore your health." For close to a year, my hair has been not as full as it once was and not as vibrant. Dr. Tefft wrote a book called “Your Personal Life: Measuring What Your Body Needs to Live Lean, Long, Strong, and Better."

Dr. Tefft states in the book that you are not what you eat but instead what you retain from what you eat. I have always been a believer that everybody is different and there is no eating plan that is a fit for everyone. I think that is a huge reason why “diets” fail. If you were eating what your body needs to feel well you’d stick with it because you’d feel fabulous. So how do you figure out what nutrients are lacking and what ones you have in excess? Dr. Tefft uses one lock of hair – ONE! So why not blood work? Why hair? I bet you're thinking that because I know I was. From what I understand our blood fluctuates where our hair is more reliable as a biopsy specimen.

Dr. Tefft’s book talks about the Seven Health Obstacles, the best and worst foods for balancing your metabolism, our biggest wellness mistakes, and many eye-opening reality checks.

Personalized nutrition is the answer. If you want to find out what you are born to eat for YOU – for your optimal health, I highly suggest checking out Dr. Tefft’s book. AND you can take the test by getting your own personalized Hair Analysis Program at www.arborvitaenutrition.com.

Start 2017 with your own personal wellness plan!

Wishing all of you health, wealth, success and happiness!

Start Right Where You Are

As a fan of her last book, "Get It Done," I was very excited to receive Sam Bennett’s new book "Start Right Where You Are." This book could not have been published at a more perfect time. Lately I have been feeling like here I am doing all these things and not seeing the results I thought I would receive from all this effort. The subtitle of Sam’s book “How Little Changes Can Make a Big Difference for Overwhelmed Procrastinators, Frustrated Overachievers, and Recovering Perfectionists” screams 2 out of 3 for me.

As with Sam’s other books, this one is written for everyone and breaks it down simply. And her action steps do not take much of your time, but they are powerful and impactful.

Here is an example of one of my favorite “Little Changes Action Steps” from the book: “If you had someone you could trust leading you across the high-wire act of your life, who would it be? Picture that person or entity in your mind, and imagine what encouraging words they have for you right now.” This could change on any day I am doing the exercise depending on my daily circumstances. I have found it helpful and inspiring when I need a boost and encouraging words.

In the book, you’ll find 66 small doable changes. Even though I have read once through the book, now I am going back and putting action behind some of ones I didn’t take action on during the first read (perhaps I am still a perfectionist).

But here is the bottom line… a quote from the author: “All the things you keep telling yourself you want to do, be, or have are possible for you if you are willing to take it one step at a time. No matter how long you’ve been dreaming your dreams, they are still alive, still possible. Just because they haven’t happened up to now doesn’t mean they won’t happen. And just because your life, career, or projects haven’t gone the way you may have wanted doesn’t mean they are not going well. No matter what has happened to you up to now, you have an opportunity to create a new story, beginning right now.”

Now who doesn’t need that encouragement, wisdom ... and book!

Capitalism or Bust

Today was an on-demand replay from September 2015. This show's topic is "The Ultimate Goal of Capitalism: Enslavement of the Masses" with our guest activist Walter Davis. Passionate over the environment, social justice and human rights, Davis is Executive Producer and host of Progress in the World Radio and TV shows. Walter was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama just blocks from his family church frequented by Dr. Martin Luther King. Throughout Davis’ life, he has been at the center of political and social unrest and change. Walter’s mother would hold his hand and take him to protests. In September 1963 KKK members bombed his church, killing four little girls in his Sunday school class. Walter’s father was murdered in a hail of gunfire. This period greatly influenced Walter, and to this day he remains a freedom fighter. An accomplished author and editor, he is a respected social media expert who has served on several congressional campaigns. His passion for freedom and our release from the capitalistic "enslavement of the masses" drives him onward.

Independence For All

There are moments in life when something happens, life alters and your entire perception transforms instantaneously. For Erin Fall Haskell, that moment was 22 years ago when she was holding her stillborn son in her arms, just after giving birth to him. She says, “Tears were streaming down my face as I looked at his beautiful body and realized his body was still there, but he wasn’t. I realized he wasn’t his body, he is a spiritual being.”
This sent Erin on an intense spiritual quest traveling around the world, discovering truths and working with gurus and spiritual masters learning how to live and embody the truths that had been revealed.
Ultimately, her journey led her back to Los Angeles, where she holds a Doctorate in Divinity as a Non-Denominational Minister. She is a New Thought Leader, Spiritual Practitioner, Author, Transformational Speaker, Mother and Lover of Life! She is trained extensively in Maieutics (a Greek Oracle Process) by which she assists others to birth their truth. Claiming her birthright of prosperity and abundance, she is a self-made millionaire, entrepreneur and an active philanthropist.
With a motto of “May living your truth set you free” she attributes her happiness and fulfillment to the Divine Truth, which is not just knowing eternal truth, but living it!

Freedom of the Mind and Heart

What an enriching conversation we had with Clifford Edwards today.
Cliff is author of the powerful new book, The Forgiveness Handbook – A Simple Guide to Freedom of the Mind and Heart.  He is a professional coach, consultant, trainer and mentor, influential in the realms of coaching and personal development for over fifteen years.
Cliff was diagnosed with a stage 4, non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2011. As a result, he recognized the need for true forgiveness of self and others as a means for emotionally detoxifying and de-stressing to aid his healing process. Combining the benefits of forgiveness with clinical trial chemotherapy and additional complementary treatment, resulted in the happy outcome of “complete remission” in 2014!
Due to that experience, Cliff now focuses on teaching and promoting forgiveness and emotional education.  With confidence, deep insight and a lighthearted approach, he guides others to change their thinking and easily let go of the resentments, anger, regret, shame and judgments of the past. The result is greatly reduced stress, a more peaceful mind and greater clarity, freedom and success in the present and future.

Women Driving Women

We talked with Renee Belinda Cooper on Freedom for All Radio today. Renee just wanted to keep women safe. Seeing the benefits of the "Uber" company offering fee-based pickups and rides but also seeing a danger for vulnerable women, Cooper started her company so women could receive the same service but in a safe setting. With rates similar to Uber and Lyft and half of a taxi, the company's only difference is that the drivers are all female. Friendly to pets, kids and elders, her company also does background checks for drivers, saying "I don't want felons in the front or in the back." More at WomenDrivingWomen.org

The Hummingbird That Answered My Heart’s Calling

This is a replay of our show with Noelle Meade-Izzi that originally aired on April 4, 2014.  Noelle is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, author, speaker, award-winning graphic designer and renowned Natu-journalist. Her book, The Hummingbird That Answered My Heart’s Calling, is a testament to the power of nature and its ability to teach, heal, and re-connect humans to their true human nature.  This gift book is filled with over 40 full-color photographs and a custom designed book cover and interior pages. To her delight, a segment on her experience with Artemis, the hummingbird, was featured in the United States Humane Society (USHS) publication, “All Animals.”  But Noelle’s commitment to nature goes well beyond her work as a Natu-journalist. She is leading a crusade to recognize and protect the four POWER POLLINATORS ---bees, birds, butterflies and bats.  As the Pollinator Queen, she is a special advocate for the pollinators, offering advice on how to build a hummingbird-friendly backyard habitant, ways to “give back” to the bee nation, methods for protecting and supporting these essential creatures that are critical to our food chain.  Noelle’s immediate focus is the bee population which has been decimated by a mysterious die-off not fully identified by scientists. Her goal is to help people see bees for the valued partners they are: harmonious, integrated, unified creatures working tirelessly for the greater good. She unceasingly works to educate as many adults and children as possible, using her company, Beenevolent® as a tool for funding more research; to serve and give back. Noelle perceives the loss of any aspect of nature a spiritual loss as well as a natural one. She spreads her message by Spiritual Pollination.

Stopping Youth Violence

Today's show was a special one. We were joined by Tasreen Khamisa - a mother of three, a faithful sister and a woman with a mission. The day of this interview's recording was January 21, 2016 which marked the 21st anniversary of her brother Tariq's murder. After Tariq was senselessly gunned down in a gang-related ambush while he was delivering pizzas in North Park San Diego, their father Azim Khamisa founded TKF, The Tariq Khamisa Foundation. This foundation - which stops youth violence through education, mentorship and restorative practice programs - has impacted millions of children worldwide teaching the principles of nonviolence and peace. Tasreen has guided the foundation as Executive Director two times - 1998 to 2003 and December 2014 to the present. Listen in as she speaks about her brother, the foundation and a purpose that drives her.
