What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

What Your Body Needs

When Dr. Gregory H. Tefft’s publicist contacted me I was all over this. Divine timing. The publicity materials say, “Your hair is the key to your health puzzle, finding exactly what nutrients will restore your health." For close to a year, my hair has been not as full as it once was and not as vibrant. Dr. Tefft wrote a book called “Your Personal Life: Measuring What Your Body Needs to Live Lean, Long, Strong, and Better."

Dr. Tefft states in the book that you are not what you eat but instead what you retain from what you eat. I have always been a believer that everybody is different and there is no eating plan that is a fit for everyone. I think that is a huge reason why “diets” fail. If you were eating what your body needs to feel well you’d stick with it because you’d feel fabulous. So how do you figure out what nutrients are lacking and what ones you have in excess? Dr. Tefft uses one lock of hair – ONE! So why not blood work? Why hair? I bet you're thinking that because I know I was. From what I understand our blood fluctuates where our hair is more reliable as a biopsy specimen.

Dr. Tefft’s book talks about the Seven Health Obstacles, the best and worst foods for balancing your metabolism, our biggest wellness mistakes, and many eye-opening reality checks.

Personalized nutrition is the answer. If you want to find out what you are born to eat for YOU – for your optimal health, I highly suggest checking out Dr. Tefft’s book. AND you can take the test by getting your own personalized Hair Analysis Program at www.arborvitaenutrition.com.

Start 2017 with your own personal wellness plan!

Wishing all of you health, wealth, success and happiness!

Start Right Where You Are

As a fan of her last book, "Get It Done," I was very excited to receive Sam Bennett’s new book "Start Right Where You Are." This book could not have been published at a more perfect time. Lately I have been feeling like here I am doing all these things and not seeing the results I thought I would receive from all this effort. The subtitle of Sam’s book “How Little Changes Can Make a Big Difference for Overwhelmed Procrastinators, Frustrated Overachievers, and Recovering Perfectionists” screams 2 out of 3 for me.

As with Sam’s other books, this one is written for everyone and breaks it down simply. And her action steps do not take much of your time, but they are powerful and impactful.

Here is an example of one of my favorite “Little Changes Action Steps” from the book: “If you had someone you could trust leading you across the high-wire act of your life, who would it be? Picture that person or entity in your mind, and imagine what encouraging words they have for you right now.” This could change on any day I am doing the exercise depending on my daily circumstances. I have found it helpful and inspiring when I need a boost and encouraging words.

In the book, you’ll find 66 small doable changes. Even though I have read once through the book, now I am going back and putting action behind some of ones I didn’t take action on during the first read (perhaps I am still a perfectionist).

But here is the bottom line… a quote from the author: “All the things you keep telling yourself you want to do, be, or have are possible for you if you are willing to take it one step at a time. No matter how long you’ve been dreaming your dreams, they are still alive, still possible. Just because they haven’t happened up to now doesn’t mean they won’t happen. And just because your life, career, or projects haven’t gone the way you may have wanted doesn’t mean they are not going well. No matter what has happened to you up to now, you have an opportunity to create a new story, beginning right now.”

Now who doesn’t need that encouragement, wisdom ... and book!
