What is "1000 Breaths"

On the last day of the year in 2010 and 2011, a special event called "1000 Breaths" awakened audiences to their own innate power of freedom as well as supported a movement to free the enslaved children trapped into a prostituted lifestyle they do not truly choose.

What started as the 1000 Breaths fundraiser event has become a movement for the freedom of us all. This blog expands now to encompass all the good works being done in the name of "freedom for all" as heard on the "FREEDOM FOR ALL" Internet Radio show.

Money Anxiety

You ever feel stressed over money? Yeah, us too. That is why this is a great show to hear. Turns out such stress can be a valuable thing. Check it out.

Jim and Jennifer welcomed Dr. Dan Geller to the show today.  Dr. Geller is an experienced researcher and analyst, and an expert in statistical modeling. He developed the Money Anxiety concept and index after observing how a combination of economic indicators and factors impacts consumers' financial behavior. Specifically, he observed how financial anxiety impacts the saving and spending patterns of consumers, and the impact such changes in financial behavior have on the economy. Based on these observations, Dr. Geller developed a new segmentation method called Behavioralogy, which defines the financial behavior of consumers during various levels of financial anxiety. Behavioralogy identified six types of financial orientation: Mattress Money, Durable Diet, Power Play, Tiny Treats, Rate Race and Castle Craze.

Dr. Geller is frequently featured in national and financial publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg/Newsweek, and has appeared on CNBC, Fox News Radio, and numerous regional programs. Dr. Geller earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Touro University, and has published numerous peer-reviewed studies in professional publications.

Tribute to Patricia Grace Ellis

Today we spent some sacred time honoring Jim's mother, Patricia Grace, whom we lost on July 26, 2014. A touching tribute from a son to a mom, Jim recalls fond memories and beautiful prose. Listen to the two in a show that will touch your heart and have you, as well, rekindling your own tribute to a loved one or two.

The Topic of Addiction

With the loss of Robin Williams to suicide, the topic of addiction has been in the news, as Williams was a known addict battling the disease. On this show we delve into the issue of addiction with a man well-versed in facing and overcoming such battles.  Eric Louie of San Diego is a member of a group that focuses on recovery from alcoholism. He has been sober since July 1989. He has participated in different positions of leadership within the group, and at present is a board member of a local clubhouse that provides meeting space for 12-step fellowships. His experience in alcoholism and addiction has been primarily in the recovery mode, and helping others to recover from their addictions.
