A rich show today from a very insightful local figure. Our guest dove into the topic of "capitalism" - a concept in the news of late, as we - as a nation - determine how our political infrastructure supports or suppresses all of our well being.

The show's topic: "The Ultimate Goal of Capitalism: Enslavement of the Masses" with our guest activist Walter Davis. Passionate over the environment, social justice and human rights, Davis is Executive Producer and host of Progress in the World Radio and TV shows.  Walter was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama just blocks from his family church frequented by Dr. Martin Luther King. Throughout Davis’ life, he has been at the center of political and social unrest and change. Walter’s mother would hold his hand and take him to the protests. In September 1963 KKK members bombed his church, killing four little girls his Sunday school class. Walter’s father was murdered in a hail of gunfire. This period greatly influenced Walter and to this day, he remains a freedom fighter.

A Vietnam Era combat veteran who served in the United States Navy between 1975 and 2001, Davis has treated nearly 5000 patients for chemical addiction from all branches of service in both outpatient and inpatient environments. An accomplished author and editor, he is a respected social media expert who has served on several congressional campaigns.

Today we spoke with author Geoff Gilson. The new book Maggie’s Hammer by Geoff is the true story of his search for the truth about why his best friend was killed. His search lead him around the world, a journey which included former spies from multiple countries, political corruption, slush funds, and illegal arms deals in the Middle East.
