On this episode of Freedom For All is Racquel Vasquez,
Councilmember of the City of Lemon Grove, California and Senior Public
Information Officer of the City of San Diego. Currently running for Mayor,
Vasquez uses the theme of "Putting People and Community First." Over
the past 14 years, she has volunteered for various groups, associations, and
City task forces. As a result of her service in the community, she was
appointed Planning Commissioner by the Mayor and City Council to serve two
consecutive 3-year terms. She was elected to serve as the Mayor Pro Tem for the
City in 2015. She says, "When it came time for me and my family to settle
down, we looked for a community with friendly people, diverse neighborhoods,
family owned businesses, and rich cultural heritage. We found Lemon Grove to be
