Welcomed Glenn Barker to the show today. Since 2010, Glenn
has served as President and Executive Director of one of the largest community
centers in The Mankind Project, currently hosting thirty weekly men’s groups,
The New Warrior Training Adventure, leadership trainings, and community events.
For over twenty years, Glenn created and implemented co-ed,
interactive personal development workshops on gender roles and archetypes. At
the Mankind Project, acting on his vision called “Bridge Builders,” Glenn has
forged relationships with mentoring agencies, the City of Chicago, and ten
social service agencies.
Collaborating with the Oprah/Iyanla Life Class, Fatherless
Sons, Glenn organized a call to action that resulted in the convergence of 100+
adult fatherless sons at HARPO Studios in Chicago as audience participants for
two Life Class shows.
Glenn is the COO of GIBM Global Initiative For Boys, a
member on the Steering Committee for “The Proposal for a White House Council On
Boys and Men” as well as the Chief Architect of Young Voices TV / Radio. Glenn
is currently working on a book called The Courage To Be A Man - The New Macho.
